Hydration, But Make It Fun: This Sparkling Spritzer Is Your New Go-To Drink

Dee Bossert

Blue Smoothie, Hydration Drink

Hydration is important, but let’s be honest—sometimes plain water just doesn’t cut it. If you’re looking for something refreshing, flavorful, and actually functional, this Hydration Sparkling Spritzer is exactly what you need. It’s packed with electrolytes, a hint of citrus, and a vibrant blue hue from spirulina or butterfly pea powder. It’s also endlessly customizable, whether you want a gut-friendly boost postpartum or a pregnancy-safe, alcohol-free option.

The best part? It takes just a few minutes to make. Choose ginger kombucha for a probiotic kick, go with sparkling ginger beer for a zesty twist, or keep things simple with an extra hydration support packet for a low-sugar option. However you mix it, this drink is a major upgrade from your standard glass of water.

Hydration Sparkling Spritzer

Serves 1

Ingredients

  • 1 packet Lemon Hydration Support
  • ½ cup coconut water
  • ½ cup sparkling or still water
  • ¼ cup fresh-squeezed orange juice
  • ¼ teaspoon blue spirulina or butterfly pea powder
  • 1 cup ice
  • Sliced lemon for garnish

Choose Your Topping:

  • Postpartum: Ginger kombucha for probiotics
  • Pregnancy-friendly: Sparkling ginger beer for a non-alcoholic option
  • Low-sugar alternative: An extra hydration support packet mixed with water

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except the sparkling water and topping in a cocktail shaker. Shake well.
  2. Fill a highball glass with ice and pour in the mixture.
  3. Add the sparkling water and top with your choice of kombucha, ginger beer, or an extra hydration packet with water.
  4. Garnish with a lemon slice and enjoy.

Kombucha contains trace amounts of alcohol, so it’s best to skip it during pregnancy. If you want the perfect fizz, try FeverTree sparkling water. However you customize it, this drink is proof that staying hydrated doesn’t have to be boring.
